Overview

 

Vietnam is a country located in Southeastern Asia bordering the Gulf of Thailand, the Gulf of Tonkin, and the South China Sea. Neighboring countries include Cambodia, China, and Laos.

The country’s history has been shaped by its location between China and India. Vietnam has between 70 and 80 million people, making it one of the most populous countries in the world.
The richness of Vietnam’s origins is evident throughout its culture. Spiritual life in Vietnam is a grand panoply of belief systems, including Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Tam Giao (literally ‘triple religion’), which is a blend of Taoism, popular Chinese beliefs, and ancient Vietnamese animism.

Eligibility Criteria for study in Vietnam

Students who wish to apply to higher education institutions in Vietnam must fulfil the following admission requirements:

1) Should have completed high school/upper secondary school- Must hold a secondary school graduation certificate or its equivalent

2) Should have a GPA of 6.0 and above at the end of the 12th grade. 

For Undergraduate Studies

Students must have graduated from upper secondary school and posses a secondary school graduation certificate or its equivalent.

For Graduate Studies

Students must hold a bachelor degree in order to gain admittance into master’s degree programmes; and must hold a master’s degree in a related field for doctorate degree. 

Language Requirements

English Language Proficiency: Students must submit the TOEFL/IELTS scores- An IELTS score of 5.5 or above, or a TOEFL iBT score of 71 and above is acceptable

What after Study?

The vast majority of people working in Vietnam are employed in either agriculture or service industries (about three-fourths of workers). Manufacturing industries are on the rise, and many multi-national companies now do business in Vietnam. Major products manufactured in Vietnam include shoes, clothes, marine products, electronics, crude oil and machinery. International students wishing to pursue a job in Vietnam after obtaining their master’s degree must first receive an offer of employment. The potential employer will then arrange for the required work permit, which includes a criminal record check and a health or medical certificate. In general, the government of Vietnam allows only highly qualified international workers and expects applicants to have at least five years of experience or professional qualifications; however, most workers with master’s degrees should be able to meet this threshold.

Starting your career on the right foot will make your path in life that much sweeter and keep you that much safer. That is why Universities offers its degree programs in two of the highest-paid professions: Software Engineering and Business Administration.

To get a Vietnam Work Visa, you have to apply at the nearest Vietnam Embassy or Consulate, but you may also be able to receive the visa on arrival.

 

You can also apply for Vietnamese work permit, with below:

 

1) At least 18 years old

2) You will be working in Vietnam in a managerial or executive position or as an expert who has the necessary technical skills and knowledge for the job

3) Good health

4) You do not have any previous or current criminal charges

5) Have the necessary academic and work qualifications to fill the position

6) You have at least 3 years of working experience as an executive-level or higher

7) You have a work contract with a company in Vietnam

8) The company hiring you can prove they advertised the position to Vietnamese nationals, but were unable to fill it locally

 

A Vietnam Work Permit is issued for a duration of up to 12 months and is renewable. You can apply to renew it before it expires.
