Eligibility Criteria for study in Ireland

For each course, a minimum academic score of 60% and above in Standard XII is required. Foundations and Diploma programmes are available for students who have secured around 50%. The student should have completed 18 years of age before joining a degree program. It is important to remember that even though entry requirement is lower at Irish universities, the education standard is not. Hence, you should carefully enhance your ability to cope with the high standard of education through the course of next few years beforehand.

The documents to be submitted are:

1) Academic Transcripts: Mark Sheets of Standard X, XII, and the bachelor’s degree (if applicable)
2) Internet-based TOEFLor IELTS scores
3) If you have work experience then two letters of recommendation (LOR) from the employer/manager who knows you well and can comment on your professional abilities
4) Statement of Purpose (SOP)
5) Academic Resume
Portfolio (in case of students applying for art and design courses or architecture programs)
6) Others (Certificates/achievements at the state and national level and extracurricular activities)
7) Proof of funds
8) Health insurance
9) A copy of your passport

Photocopies of these documents should be translated in English and certified by the educational institution or by notary.

What after Study?

So one of the best features of studying in Ireland is that you get an automatic stayback visa after you graduate. So bachelors students get a one year stayback and master’s and PhD students get a two year stayback visa. So the university will sponsor your visa and you can work unrestricted for at times you can find work in any company that you want. If you want to remain longer than that, you need to apply for a sponsored visa after the two years is up. So it’s a really good opportunity.
