Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) is accepted by the Canadian government for immigration purposes. The language proficiency test is also accepted by various educational institutions in Canada. It is conducted by Paragon Testing Enterprises, a subsidiary of the University of British Columbia (UBC). There are two versions of CELPIP exam CELPIP-General, and CELPIP-General LS.

CELPIP results validity period
While it is up to each organisation to set a validity period that works for their purposes, the CELPIP partners recommend a 2-year validity period for CELPIP test results based upon the well-documented theory of second language loss or ‘attrition’.
